Mahabharata-based 3-part movie 'Parva' announced by star director

Star director Vivek Agnihotri of 'The Kashmir Files' has announced a 3-part epic film based on 'Parva', the classic Kannada novel written by SL Bhyrappa. 'Parva' will be co-written by Prakash Belawadi.

"Is Mahabharat HISTORY or MYTHOLOGY? We, at I Am Buddha (production house) are grateful to the almighty to be presenting Padma Bhushan Dr. SL Bhyrappa’s ‘modern classic’: PARVA - AN EPIC TALE OF DHARMA. There is a reason why PARVA is called ‘Masterpiece of masterpieces’," wrote Agnihotri on Twitter.

The director has put behind the failure of his recent movie, 'The Vaccine War'. Agnihotri wanted to make a film titled 'The Delhi Files'. It seems the same is going to take time.

'Parva' will be subjected to critical examination by both audiences and critics. If the VFX and other aspects are not superlative, the audience will be hard on the film. The buzz is that the first part will be released in theatres in the second half of 2024.
