The format of other language stars trying their luck in the Telugu circuit has been there since long and most of the time, it is the Tamil heroes who made their mark. While most of them do enjoy a good fan following in the Telugu states, there are also those who failed to get it. One among them is the Tamil star hero Vijay.
Known as the ‘Ilayathalapathy’ in Kollywood, Vijay has scored many blockbusters but he never ventured into Tollywood. This time again, it appears he did a litmus test. Before Doing a straight Telugu movie he worked with a Telugu production house and a Telugu director in the form of the movie ‘Vaarasudu’ to see how the Telugu audience will accept him.
The film has failed miserably in Telugu and he didn’t even get a reasonable opening. It was more like a humiliation to him. So, reports from Chennai reveal though his films are being watched Vijay understood that he doesn’t command any following in Telugu states. Hence, he has reportedly decided not to do any straight Telugu movie henceforth.
