Akhil Akkineni has been trying his best to become famous as a star hero for some time now. ``Akhil'', which was his first attempt, became the biggest disaster in his career. After that ``Hello'' with Vikram Kumar was also not very impressive. ``Mr. Majnu'' with Venky Atluri ended the same way while 'Most Eligible Bachelor' with director Bhaskar gave Akhil some relief. But it could not deliver a blockbuster hit as expected.

Akhil has set a target to get a blockbuster hit at pan India level. His latest movie is `Agent''. It is being made as a spy action thriller. Stylish director Surender Reddy is making this movie on a huge scale. The success of this movie, which is being produced by Anil Sunkara under the banner of AK Entertainments, is crucial for Akhil as well as director Surender Reddy.

This highly anticipated movie is going to release on April 28th in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi languages. Having already created a huge buzz, producer Anil Sunkara has reportedly sold the theatrical rights of this movie in both the Telugu states as well as in Karnataka for 34 crores without GST.

The fact that the producer is releasing this movie with a deficit of 15 crores despite selling the theatrical rights for a huge amount has become a hot topic in the trade circles. The main reason for this is said to be Surender Reddy whose focus for perfection has made the budget exceed Akhil's market level and many are wondering whether the movie can land in a safe zone or not.
