Amid a lot of suspense, Veera Simha Reddy achieved breakeven collection which is seen as a big relief for the film unit. The Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer which released on January 12th emerged as a hit but it has fallen short of expectations.
His fans hoped that the movie directed by Gopichand Mallineni will create another Akhanda style wave but the movie has ended up only as the one for fans and not for everyone. All frames of Balayya impressed fans very much but the film didn't become a blockbuster.
If the film would have created records, then it would have raised the bar and expectations on Anil Ravipudi who is all set to work with Balayya in his next film. Now that this film didn't meet the expectations much, the burden seems to be less on Anil, who can now work without much pressure and if he delivers a good hit with excellent elements, then certainly all the credit will go to him.
