Akhanda's success can be described as the successful second innings of Nandamuri Balakrishna. With his earlier films like Ruler and Mahanayaukudu unable to even get a share of 5 to 10 crores, it can be easily said that Akhanda marked a new beginning for Balayya Babu. Before Akhanda, while star heroes were getting 20-30 crores opening share, many were not even aware when some of his films were released and even fans were not bothered much to an extent.
Despite failures, Balayya didn't give up and his favourite director Boyapati Sreenu lifted his spirits with Akhanda which became a superhit with 175 crores share particularly since audiences were completely vexed with earlier covid lockdowns. On one hand, with Akhanda's success and Unstoppable show becoming a rage, everyone thought Balayya will continue the success streak. However, Veera Simha Reddy once again put a break as its run was halted largely by Waltair Veerayya.
Now, to ensure Balayya doesn't lose his form again attempts are being made to launch good projects again with Anil Ravipudi, Harish Shankar-Mythri Movies combination and another film with Boyapati Sreenu. This is how they are planning to ensure Balayya doesn't go back into failure mode again.
