Nandamuri Natasimham Balakrishna's Veerasimha Reddy released one day early while Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya released a day later. Both the films registered bumper openings on the first day itself but Chiru's film continued the same form.
On the other hand, the Nandamuri hero's film has been performing well but not as much as Chiru's film and has seen a steady decline in collections. The entertainment quotient of Chiru's film seems to have been the pull factor this time.
Many feel that one day's early release has given a good start to Veera Simha Reddy and in case if it had been released after the Chiru film, the movie might have ended up as a disaster. On the other hand, Balayya's fans are upset that theatre reduction has worked unfairly for their hero's movie.
