Adipurush starring young rebel star Prabhas, Nawab Saif Ali Khan and other big actors is all set for a release this year. Actually, the movie was planned for a release in January. However, the backlash on social media after its teaser release put the film on backburner.
The way the characters in the film shaped up earned a lot of negative response and even Prabhas was reportedly stunned by this and hence re-work is going on with an additional cost of 100 crores. Recently the film team announced that the film will release on June 16th.
However, some big Hollywood movies like Transformers and The Flash will be releasing around the same period and most theatres overseas would be blocked. Since Adipurush is being made as a pan India film aimed at a global audience, many feel that the timing may not be that right and the film team might have to rethink about it.
