Some producers enter Tollywood with massive budgets to make films with star heroes, hoping for commercial success. However, many of them end up suffering huge financial losses, making just a few films before leaving the industry. But there are others who persevere, waiting for that big break.

Sudhakar Cherukuri, the producer of the latest Tollywood blockbuster Dasara, falls into the latter category. He started his journey with SLV Cinemas banner by producing Lion, Balakrishna's film with the highest budget of his career at that time. Unfortunately, the movie failed to make an impact at the box office. Sudhakar Cherukuri's next venture, Padi Padi Leche Manasu, featuring Sharwanand, also failed to succeed.

Despite these setbacks, he continued to produce films, including the commercial disaster Aadavallu Meeku Joharlu, once again with Sharwanand. In 2020, he produced Rama Rao On Duty with Ravi Teja, which also turned out to be a flop. Even the recent release, Virataparvam, produced by him with Rana, failed to perform at the box office.

After six unsuccessful films, Sudhakar Cherukuri's perseverance finally paid off with the release of Dasara. The film was produced with a budget of 60 crores and received positive reviews from the audience. It is believed that the producer already made a substantial profit even before its release. However, it remains to be seen how the film performs in the long run.
