Walmart has introduced the CExchange initiative, a program that enables individuals to trade their pre-owned electronic devices for cash while decreasing electronic waste. The program accepts electronic devices in any condition, such as smartphones, laptops, cameras, video games and consoles, GPS units and MP3 players.

Customers are required to complete an online appraisal form and mail their products to Walmart, which will evaluate the items and pay the customer using an eGift card. Walmart will either refurbish, resell or dispose of the items responsibly. Damaged devices may still have some value as long as they are listed under "Model Name."

E-waste is a major environmental problem, with 55 million tons generated worldwide each year. Dumping e-waste in landfills releases hazardous chemicals that can harm the environment and human health. By taking part in the CExchange program, customers can earn cash for their used electronics while Walmart ensures that the devices are disposed of in an eco-friendly manner.

Disposing of used electronics in the garbage is not a viable option for anyone who is concerned about the environment, and the CExchange program provides a more sustainable alternative. Customers can also use their earned eGift cards from Walmart and Sam's Club to purchase new items.
