The Women Wrestling fraternity is now up in arms with reports of #MeToo allegations rocking the sports authorities in the country over the last few days. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president PT Usha has now come out saying that she feels deeply concerned and disturbed following the sexual harassment allegations against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh by renowned women wrestlers.

She added that the national Olympic body will make all efforts to safeguard the interests of our country's women athletes. Celebrated Indian wrestlers, including Olympic medallist Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik besides Vinesh Phogat and others have staged a sit-in protest for the last few days at Jantar Mantar here calling for the arrest of WFI president.

They accused him of sexual exploitation as well as intimidation and demanded that the federation should be disbanded. There have been reports that they are upset at inaction from the Union government at a time when the Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has come out saying that the government will take every possible step to address this matter.
