The bonhomie between Telangana CM KCR and AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is well known. No matter whatever controversies, they tried to maintain their calm and they are known to have a good personal equation despite many challenges. Now, Vizag may soon host both the leaders with their close spiritual guru holding anniversary celebrations at Sarada Peetham in Vizag city from January 27th to January 31st.
Both the chief ministers are considered close to Swami Swaroopananda and they have been invited for the annual event. Jagan is expected to be there for the auspicious Raja Syamala Yagam and it is not clear when KCR will set foot at the ashram near Vizag. However, with the launch of BRS, KCR is planning to seriously spread his wings in AP and there is going to be intense political heat season soon in Telugu states.
Although KCR hasn't invited Jagan formally into the BRS fold, still there is nothing bitter between both of them. The differences over Polavaram and Pothireddy Padu are at administration level and not at personal level. Moreover, it is not clear whose votes will BRS split in Andhra Pradesh and their meeting depends on which BRS is headed.
Many feel that KCR may not target Jagan since his main target is BJP. Moreover, the spiritual seer is reportedly planning to bring both of them together after a long time. Many feel that KCR and Jagan have a lot of common rivals and they may set any slight egos aside and sit to take stock of the political events in both Telugu states. In a way, they may need each other to tackle their political enemies.
KCR is planning a grand strategy to weaken BJP while Jagan is not averse to BJP. However, Chandrababu Naidu and Congress pose a threat to reach each other and KCR may not be keen on a watching mode if and when Congress revives while Jagan doesn't want to give any edge to TDP. Therefore, it becomes interesting to watch how things will play out between them and whether they will go into a huddle in Vizag to evolve a common political approach.
