Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja has been reeling under a spate of flops and he has pinned his hopes on this movie to give that ‘Dhamaka’ at the box office. Has it really worked or not, let us see
Story
Nandagopal Chakravarthy (Sachin), a rich but righteous industrialist announces to all his staff that a new CEO will take over as he is suffering from a disease and he will die in few months. His son Anand (Ravi Teja) is touted to take over. On the other hand, there is Swamy (Ravi Teja again), an unemployed middle class man who is rough and ready to fight whenever required. Swamy comes across Pranavi (Sree Leela) and falls in love with her instantly. While all this is on, JP (Jayaram), a white collared thug sets his eyes on Chakravarthy’s empire and wants to grab it using muscle power. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Performances
Ravi Teja has once again proved why he is the best bet for mass roles. He carries off both the characters with aplomb and it is a treat for his fans. Sree Leela is a revelation. She is cute, sexy, amazing dancer and quite expressive. If she chooses the right projects going forward, she has an amazing future as a star heroine. She is a visual feast to the audience. Sachin Khedekar was elegant. Jayaram was superb. Rao Ramesh was excellent. Hyper Aadi brought few laughs. Tanikella Bharani was neat. Others did their bit as required.
Crew
The script was filled with commercial elements with a slight twist while the screenplay was okay. Dialogues were good in few scenes. Background score was very good and most of the songs were foot tapping. Editing could have been better in the second half. Art department was effective while production values were rich. Costumes were very good. Fights and stunts were worthy.

Deeper Look
Mass entertainers are always fun when they have the right mix of comedy, romance, fights, punch dialogues and most importantly, pace. The director has tried to infuse all those elements in this film and the focus was majorly on leveraging the mass image of Ravi Teja. While the effort and attempt is genuine, there were few gaps. The film takes off on a breezy note and the first half is filled with all the required entertainment. The interval bang came at the right time. However, the second half was not able to keep the same momentum. The plot unfolds during the second half but the team should have focused on making it crisp instead of forcefully putting few songs and fight sequences. Some of the dialogues are a treat for mass lovers though. One such line is ‘If I see a villain in you, you will see a hero in me’. Few other punch dialogues had wit and were written well. The plot per se had a bit of twist but certain important sequences lacked the right logic or concept. Overall, the film is going to not disappoint fans of Ravi Teja and the mass lovers but it is a skeptical choice to think that it would appeal all genres of audience. At the box office, the film has a chance of doing decently but a part of it also depends on the outcome of other releases.
