Telangana minister Mallareddy surprised everyone by revealing on a public platform that he was offered a role as the villain in an upcoming film starring Pawan Kalyan. The film, titled "Ustad Bhagat Singh," is directed by Harish Shankar and is a remake of "Theri." The story is said to have remained largely unchanged from the original, but with script modifications to enhance the film's quality in the vein of "Gabbar Singh."

Harish Shankar, who is currently engaged in casting for the film, reportedly spent an hour and a half trying to convince Mallareddy to take on the role of the antagonist, which was played by famous director and actor Mahendran in the original film. Mahendran's performance even earned him an award. The role is that of a character who brutally kills Samantha in a flashback scene.

Despite Mallareddy's strong public persona, Harish Shankar was hesitant to give him the role due to his lack of acting experience. Mallareddy announced this news during the launch of the teaser for "Mem Famous," produced by the Chai Biscuit team.

As of now, the main villain for "Ustad Bhagat Singh" has not yet been confirmed. Pawan recently completed shooting for the remake of "Vinodaya Sitham" and is slated to finish work on "Hari Hara Veera Mallu" before dedicating equal time to "Ustad Bhagat Singh" and Sujeeth's next project. Harish Shankar, who has been eagerly anticipating this film for years after "Gaddalakonda Ganesh," is preparing to deliver a film that surpasses even "Gabbar Singh." Music for the film will be composed by Devi Sri Prasad, who previously created a chart-topping album for "Waltair Veeraya."
