The political climate in Telangana is currently undergoing unprecedented developments, with the recent interrogation of BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha by the Enforcement Directorate and the TSPSC question paper leak episode. Meanwhile, a certain section of the media is heavily campaigning against the BRS government, CM KCR, and the Kalvakuntla family.

Journalists such as Chintapandu Naveen, also known as Teenmar Mallanna, and Raghu are known to be strong opponents of KCR and the BRS government. Recently, Mallanna's office, Q News, was attacked by BRS supporters, and he was subsequently taken into police custody the following night. These events have left the BRS leadership feeling restless and uneasy.

Even the BRS Working President, KT Rama Rao, expressed his dissatisfaction in a threatening manner. In response to the arrest of Kannada actor Chetan Ahimsa for a tweet on Hindutva, KTR wrote, "In BJP-ruled Karnataka, a person can face 14 days in jail for an 'offensive' tweet. In Telangana, we have been tolerating direct and horrible insults towards our CM, Ministers, and Legislators. Maybe it's time to give them a taste of their own medicine. Freedom of expression doesn't mean the right to abuse."

It appears that the BRS is no longer willing to tolerate criticism from political opponents and the media. With elections on the horizon, the BRS may resort to strong actions against its rivals, as suggested by KTR's comments.
