The BJP is being criticized for taking credit for the hard work and achievements of others. Recently, BJP leaders claimed that Telugu movie RRR won an Oscar due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's nomination of film script writer V Vijayendra Prasad to the Rajya Sabha.

Now, they are taking credit for Foxconn's plans to set up a manufacturing facility in Telangana. Union Minister of IT and Electronics Ashwini Vaishnaw attributed this outcome to Modi's efforts to develop an Aatmanirbhar manufacturing ecosystem. Union Minister of State for Electronics and Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar also joined in, claiming that this was in line with Modi's goal of achieving $300 billion in electronics manufacturing by 2026.

However, it should be noted that Foxconn chairman Young Liu himself wrote to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, saying that he was inspired by his vision and efforts towards the transformation and development of Telangana and looked forward to working with him in the future.

With such gimmicks, BJP can never gain true mileage in Telangana and it can only become a laughing stock. The party shows keen interest in granting such privileges to Gujarat but not South, especially Telangana. Now claiming such credit as if it was due to Modi's policies is clearly attracting a lot of criticism.
