The internal fights seem to have been triggered by Telangana BJP Chief Bandi Sanjay's efforts to bring in
new leaders to the party through his padayatra. While some leaders support his efforts, others are concerned that it will lead to the centralization of power. It is known that Sanjay's recent 'Kiss' comments on MLC Kavitha at a meeting held on Women's Day have further complicated matters.
Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind has faulted Sanjay's comments and said that the state chief is appointed to coordinate with the national level and is not a power center. This has caused controversy and created tensions between Sanjay and Arvind, who previously had no issues. Party sources say that the tension between Sanjay and Arvind started in the Nizamabad district over the joining of new leaders. There is an opinion that Arvind is preventing a leader from Balkonda
from joining the BJP, and he expressed dissatisfaction with Sanjay's interactions with leaders from other parties.
There are also issues between Sanjay and MLA Etela Rajender, and the leadership has called key leaders to Delhi to address the situation. At the same time, Kishan Reddy is also another power centre who has his own CM ambitions. Etela, Bandi, Sanjay and Kishan groups are now fully active which could benefit BRS in the upcoming elections.
