Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has reportedly decided to restrict the allotment of two election tickets to members of the same family for the upcoming elections. Senior leaders, particularly those from forward castes, have been pressuring their party bosses to secure two tickets.

KCR feels that obliging such requests will lead to a flood of similar demands from other leaders, resulting in a heavy price for the party. As a result, he has decided to base ticket allotment on survey feedback, and not entertain requests for two tickets.

It has been reported that several senior leaders have already sought tickets for family members, including MPs, ministers, and MLAs. The decision is significant for KCR and his party as the upcoming Assembly elections are considered prestigious.

BRS chief and Telangana CM KCR is of the opinion that it is wise to reduce family domination in BRS since that will not look good to the people in the long term and particularly, he doesn't want to give BJP any additional ammunition.
