The upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana have become the hot topic of discussion among political circles. The BJP, which is looking to make inroads in the southern state, recently held a review meeting in Delhi to chalk out its future course of action.

The meeting was attended by top BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party chief JP Nadda. The focus of the meeting was to strategize for the polls due later this year, with concerns that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) may call for early polls to catch the BJP off-guard. Telangana State Unit Chief Sanjay Bandi and State-in-Charge Tarun Chug were also present at the meeting, where discussions revolved around devising strategies to counter the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

Bandi had earlier declared that the BJP was ready for an early election and rubbished rumors of KCR calling for snap polls. However, the party is gearing up for all eventualities and is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a victory in the polls. One of the unconfirmed reports doing the rounds is that the BJP plans to use the liquor excise policy scam to attack the TRS. The scam, which has made headlines in Delhi, allegedly involves KCR's daughter and top TRS leader K Kavitha.
