The arrest of Manish Sisodia, the deputy CM of New Delhi, in connection with the Delhi Liquor scam, has sent shockwaves across Telugu states. This development has particularly affected the BRS party sources, as their MLC Kavitha Rao was questioned by the CBI earlier.
Reacting to Sisodia's arrest, former MP and BJP leader Vivek Venkataswami predicted that Kavitha from BRS will meet a similar fate. Venkataswami alleged that KCR's daughter Kavitha had contributed Rs 150 crore to the Aam Aadmi Party for the Punjab and Gujarat Assembly elections. He further added that Telangana CM KCR has amassed a massive amount of wealth through illegal means by misusing the government's power.
After the death of YSR, there was a witch-hunt by the then UPA government against Jagan and later his arrest created a sensation. Its been more than a decade but after his jail term, Jagan became an icon for having fought with CBI rather than surrender meekly to UPA bosses. By refusing to surrender to BJP bosses, many feel that Kavitha will also become invincible in case they dare to arrest her.
