Having political rivalries is common and during some heated instances, a war of words also gets exchanged on both sides which is also common. However, there has never been a situation so adverse that plans are made to eliminate the political leaders. The last known tale of this type ended with the Paritala Ravi faction era in Andhra Pradesh.
But then, the state of Telangana seems to be falling under radar and it is giving some alarm bells to the BRS party circles. Sometime ago, an assassination attempt was planned on Minister Srinivas Goud and due to the timely actions by the intelligence department, it got uncovered and the suspects were caught. When this incident happened, it really sent shockwaves because no one expected someone would try and kill a Minister in power.
Now, after Srinivas Goud, it seems to be the turn of MLA Jeevan Reddy of Armoor. Last year, a man named Prasad Goud entered Jeevan's home late night in Hyderabad with a gun and he was caught by the alert security staff. He was sent to prison later. A woman by the name Suguna was also involved in it. However, it is now heard that yet another assassination attempt was planned on him and even that got foiled.
Incidentally, the suspects happen to be Prasad Goud and Suguna again. Buzz is that after coming out of jail, Prasad Goud reportedly met with Suguna and this time they have planned something more lethal by getting gelatin sticks and detonators. Prasad Goud is sent to Cherlapally jail and police have filed cases on him and Suguna. They have also recovered a total of 95 gelatin sticks and 10 detonators.
While it is not sure what the motive is, it appears both Prasad and Suguna won't rest until they see the end of Jeevan Reddy. Meanwhile, all this has shaken the BRS circles. The coming days will give more information on this one.
