Just like the craze for movies and cricket, there is an equal craze for politics and if an election is announced, irrespective of its category, the excitement and enthusiasm is very high. True to that, the Election Commission has now announced about the MLC elections and the information has been released.
The notification will be issued on February 16th and nominations will be accepted till February 23rd. The polling is on March 13th and counting will happen on March 16th. While Hyderabad is the main area of focus in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh has 8 areas. But the MLC elections in Telangana hold a lot of importance.
With assembly elections in December the MLC election outcome will become a reference and that would become a promotion and canvassing tool for all the political parties. By the time results come the main elections would be about 7 to 8 months away. Same process will happen with AP as well. Of course, they have a one year gap for their main elections.
