Telangana CM and BRS chief KCR is known for being a man of wits which is reflected in most of his strategies and decisions that he takes with a lot of planning. In 2018, he pulled a coup of sorts by going in for early elections and this worked very well for the BRS party when it secured a massive majority by trouncing the opposition parties.
The mahakutami experiment of Congress, TDP and Communists failed miserably and KCR stormed back to power. Right from the time the party was founded in 2001, KCR has always been a master strategist and he has a high success rate with elections. Now, he seems to be planning something similar, according to sources.
The opposition has been speculating for a long time that KCR might go for early polls this time around as well. Now, certain quick decisions as well changes are being done at the government level which is catching everyone by surprise. KCR is expected to make a major announcement regarding Podu lands for tribals this month and there will be a massive public meeting at Parade Grounds.
Sources say that by the end of this month, KCR is keen on making the announcement related to preponing elections this time as well. Both BJP and Congress are not yet prepared and KCR wants to strike when the iron is hot. In this regard, he seems to be keen on making a sudden announcement and then ending his government's term.
Last time, the Centre was co-operating with KCR but this time he has launched BRS as an alternative to the BJP at the centre. Hence, it may be a risk but still with a smart strategy, KCR might be planning to move ahead quickly on this aspect and then prepare quickly for elections too. The Telangana CM seems to be ready with the list of candidates as well.
