The saffron party which gave an impression that it is unassailable in Telangana seems to have developed cold feet lately. Sources say that popular leaders who joined BJP recently are feeling suffocated and are looking for alternative platforms again.
Some of the names doing rounds are Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Etela Rajender and other leaders. They may not come out immediately but they are in wait and watch mode as the election nears. Some of them feel that the party is not anti-BRS as widely publicized.
The BJP leadership has more or less gone on the back foot regarding poaching big leaders from Congress and BRS after the Moinabad farm gate episode. This has played a key role in many BJP leaders slowing their pace when it comes to contacting other party leaders' to join them quickly. The aggressiveness of BJP leaders seems to have slowed down a bit.
