Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr., also known as NTR Jr., and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have been closely associated with each other for several years. In recent times, there has been a growing demand to bring the actor into the party fold, with NTR fans expressing this desire to senior leaders like Chandrababu Naidu following the 2019 elections.

However, it appears that the TDP's stance towards Jr. NTR has changed. Party leaders are now indicating that NTR will join the party and support it. A few months ago, Taraka Ratna had stated that NTR was a part of the TDP and would support it at the appropriate time, and Nara Lokesh had made similar comments. The latest endorsement for NTR comes from none other than Nara Rohit, who recently joined the padayatra and lent his support to a former minister. His participation in the yatra has injected new energy into the leaders and party workers accompanying Nara Lokesh on this extensive journey.

Nara Rohit has opined that NTR will extend his support to the TDP when the time is right. This positive response from a prominent actor could potentially lead to a favorable outcome for the TDP. It is worth noting that NTR had campaigned for the party back in 2009 but had suffered an accident during the process, leading to a rift between him and the TDP. The party leadership had not shown much interest in promoting the actor within the party. When asked about his absence from party events, some leaders had responded that no special invitations were being sent out, and those interested should come forward.

However, the current indications are that the TDP is keen to welcome NTR into its fold, recognizing the potential benefits that his association could bring. Moreover, NTR is expected to maintain a studied silence and Chandrababu's men know how to exploit his neutral stance!
