V. Vijayasai Reddy, a YCP MP and senior leader, is considered the most dependable leader in the ruling party. According to political analysts, two recent incidents demonstrate how significant Sai Reddy is for the party. The first incident involves Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's successful Delhi tour, where Sai Reddy played a crucial role in managing things. He is known for his expertise in this field.

The second incident relates to the YCP's defeat in the North Andhra MLC polls. Party senior leader Y.V. Subba Reddy managed the electioneering, a role typically given to Sai Reddy. However, Subba Reddy's strategy did not succeed, and the party faced defeat in the MLC polls. Meanwhile, the YCP government's chief advisor, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, has gained more influence in the party.

Some speculate that Sajjala is vying for the No. 2 position in the party, leading him to play a more active role in all matters, including elections. As a result, Sai Reddy was reportedly excluded from managing the MLC polls in North Andhra and the party's social media, according to sources.

However, it is believed that Sajjala has expertise in administrative affairs, but not public issues. Political observers argue that Sai Reddy's removal from key positions may have contributed to the YCP's unprecedented defeat in the polls and hence he may be once given key responsibilities after CM Jagan takes stock of the reasons for the loss.
