MLC elections in AP gave unexpected results to YCP. After seeing the results, the ruling party has become upset though they are maintaining a bold front. An analysis of why they lost three out of three seats in the Graduate MLC elections is making YCP leaders think where their predictions went wrong.

I PAC, which is YCP's strategist, is reportedly under the scanner. From the very beginning for YCP, teachers and employees seem to have distanced themselves from the party. They understood that both groups would be angry with them. I PAC strategized to win teacher MLC elections but now the actual damage was done by the graduate MLC polls.

The right strategy of turning the electorate towards them was not planned properly.  Jagan has reportedly met the IPAC team after the graduate MLC's defeat where he seems to have asked them what went wrong and how can they align their strategies going forward.

A silent grumble has begun in YCP whether it is ok to trust the organization anymore or should there be other strong feedback mechanisms in place to gauge the mood of voters. The upcoming 2024 polls will be a massive battle and YCP doesn't want to take things lightly.
