Janasena party chief Pawan Kalyan addressed party leaders and workers at the Mangalagiri party office. His comments gained significance amidst the growing clamor for an alliance between Janasena and TDP, and recent media reports suggesting a rift between the parties.

Pawan clarified that his party has no secret agreement with TDP or any other party, and that Janasena won't work for anyone's ideology. Pawan also stated that he would not compromise on the self-respect of his party workers and supporters, and assured that their trust in him will not be misused.

Talking about governance, Pawan urged Kapu leaders to unite and bring all Kapus together with BC, SC, and ST communities, treating them equally. He revealed that his mother belongs to the Balija community and his father to the Kapu community, and he does not hold any grudges against any community. He said he has empathy and affection towards weaker sections and believes that to become a leader, one should work with all sections.

Pawan also assured to take up the demands of the Kapu community, such as Kapu reservation, and other issues after discussing with the manifesto committee. Kapu Welfare Association founder and former minister Hari Rama Jogayya also attended the event.

After the latest comments by Pawan and the caste meetings, one wonders whether Pawan Kalyan is turning Janasena into a purely caste-based party, which would be nothing but a disaster for the party in the next elections. Even PK fans wonder who has been advising Pawan to focus much openly on caste issues. It may spell disaster for him, according to analysts.
