Recently, Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad made headlines when he publicly criticized his own political party. Vasantha expressed his is appointment with the party's leaders and members for not supporting him in his constituency. This public criticism did not sit well with the high command of the YCP, who expected the issue to be resolved internally.
Additionally, MLA Vasantha expressed support for the farmers of Amaravati, who are protesting against the YCP's decision to create three capitals instead of keeping Amaravati as the sole capital. Although Vasantha's vote went against the YCP's decision, he maintained that it was his personal opinion and not reflective of the
party's stance.
MLA Vasantha's actions continue to draw scrutiny from the YCP leadership, who are closely monitoring his behavior, particularly in relation to the issue of the AP capital. Vasantha must be extremely careful in his public statements and actions going forward, feel his colleagues in YSRCP since Jagan already gave him a lot of preference and even brokered a truce with Jogi Ramesh. Again if he goes his own way, then he may face a tough time.
