As the assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh draw nearer, the YSR Congress party has intensified its aggressive stance against the opposition, particularly in response to reports that the Telugu Desam Party and the Jana Sena Party may collaborate in the upcoming elections.

YSRCP President and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is attempting to portray himself as fighting a lone battle against the conspiring opposition parties, stating that he is like a lion and they are like wolves. On Monday, Jagan challenged the TDP led by N Chandrababu Naidu and the Jana Sena Party led by Pawan Kalyan to contest all 175 assembly elections in the state independently, if they have the courage to do so.

While the YSRCP aims to win all 175 assembly seats in the state, relying on a host of welfare schemes introduced by the government, the TDP and Jana Sena Party have shown hesitation in contesting all seats. Jagan emphasized that the people are the backbone of the YSRCP, stating that his government had implemented 98.5% of its pre-election promises.

He expressed confidence that the various welfare schemes being implemented by his government would enable the party to win all 175 seats. He questioned whether the TDP, or the Jana Sena Party, had the courage to contest all 175 assembly seats, stating that they have no right to ask for votes from the people.
