After a lot of drama and uncertainty the final decision is out. The senior leader Kanna Lakshminarayana is all set to join the TDP and it is almost confirmed that he is going to contest from Sattenapalli in Guntur district. Kanna has been part of the BJP since quite a while and after the selection of Somu Veerraju as the state incharge, Kanna was totally disappointed and he took a backseat.
Now, here comes the challenge for BJP. As such, Kanna is a leader who has a strong following and party really doesn't matter to him. He has the stamina to score victory with his own cadre. But after the treatment he got from BJP, it is now heard that Kanna is going to make some moves which will become a deathblow to the saffron party in Andhra Pradesh.
For starters, Kanna was also the President of the party for two years so he knows all the weak points of the party in the state. Many feel he is going to leverage that to his advantage. Most importantly, with Kanna moving out of BJP and joining TDP, it is heard that he is now gunning for all his old pals and associates to do the same act.
Already, there are reports that former minister from Visakha, Vishnu Kumar Raju, has met Kanna and there are strong chances that he will also quit BJP and join TDP. There are also reports that another former minister from Rayalaseema will also quit BJP and join TDP. All this is indicating strongly that Kanna has carved out a master plan to ensure BJP pays a heavy price for neglecting him. Meanwhile, the TDP folks are jumping in joy because the inclusion of Kanna into their armory is going to be a big shot in the arm for the party which is almost in a coma stage when it comes to strong leaders.
