Much before the scheduled assembly elections, the political heat has turned on intensely in Andhra Pradesh. Telangana will go to polls by the end of this year, but the way political atmosphere has become surcharged, one wonders whether AP too is going for early elections. Irrespective of when the state will go to polls, everyone is hitting the roads on one pretext or the other.

It is known that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will be soon arriving with his vaarahi vehicle on a statewide tour and he is expected to cover various critical and politically relevant regions of AP through his vehicle. At the same time, Lokesh is all set to start his padyatra soon which TDP is taking very prestigiously and wants to ensure Lokesh gets the right political mileage and some limelight.

The permission for padyatra is still pending and TDP is already making it a big issue so that it can earn more attention for TDP leader Lokesh. Although YSRCP leaders have been putting up a brave front that they are invincible, in politics nothing can be taken for granted. Sources say that YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy is aware of this fact and hence he is keeping cards close to his chest.

Jagan feels that no matter deft moves by the opposition TDP and Jana Sena, his vote bank is intact and his hold over rural area voters remains unassailable. Hence, Jagan too is reportedly planning to hit the roads soon and he is planning a grand strategy to be with the people till next elections and is chalking out plans to tour villages and rural strongholds.

He is expected to offer a befitting reply to any allegations made by TDP and Jana Sen and he wants to enter the fray a while later since that would give him ample time and scope to give rebuttal and at the same time Jagan Reddy also wants to ensure that the benefits offered by government reaches each door step. In this regard, he is keen to utilize the power of data to the best extent possible.
