The government of Andhra Pradesh, led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, appears to be targeting the family of former minister and Telugu Desam Party leader Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu.

The revenue authorities have accused Ayyanna of encroaching on government land for the compound wall of his house, and the Crime Investigation Department has filed a case of forgery against him.

The CID police have also targeted Ayyanna's son and TDP general secretary Chintakayala Vijay, filing a case against him for posting derogatory messages on social media targeting the chief minister's wife Bharathi Reddy.

Despite obtaining an injunction on his arrest, Vijay was recently served a notice by the CID police to appear for questioning on January 27th.

This notice could potentially impact his planned attendance at a TDP event on the same day.
