Every five years, attraction and repulsion are common in politics and power is the reason for that. It's always the same with any political party. Ganta Srinivasa Rao, a senior political leader and former minister, has been talking about the power of Telugu Desam Party for the last one week.
He is describing that there are favourable winds for Telugu Desam Party that's blowing from Anantapur to Ichchapuram. Ganta predicted that Telugu Desam Party is the future. He predicted that there will be no YCP after the next election, particularly after TDP won three MLC elections and one MLC seat in the MLA quota.
There has been a talk for the last four years that Ganta was staying away from the party and now he is back in the limelight perhaps sensing that TDP is on the rise in an election year. In politics the attraction or affiliation is always towards power.
Forget YCP, even hardcore TDP leaders are wondering about the loyalty of Ganta who had been trying to enter YCP but only to be stalled by strong loyalists of CM Jagan. Ayyanna Patrudu of TDP has been giving him an earful. After PRP, Congress, TDP and moves to go towards YCP, now Ganta has turned into a hardcore loyalist of Lokesh and Chandrababu, proving that he is nothing but a hardcore opportunist in Telugu states.
