However, it is known that there are no censor formalities for OTT and sources say that there are complaints from many quarters that have been sent to the Centre. In this regard, the Center has issued a serious warning about the obscenity of these OTTs.

Union Information Broadcasting Youth Affairs Sports Minister Anurag Thakur made it clear that the government will not tolerate obscenity and profanity in the name of creativity by OTTs. He warned that the government would not hesitate to intervene if anyone crosses the line.

The Union Information Minister has warned OTT organizations that misuse in the name of creativity will not be tolerated. He said that the government is serious about the growing complaints of abusive obscene content on OTT platforms. Anurag Thakur made a sensational announcement in Nagpur that if there is any need to make any changes in the rules, the ministry will also think in that direction.

Since it is being broadcast live to the viewers through the internet, the central and state governments have not been able to control it much so far. However, recently, the Center has focused on the increase in obscenity. Anurag Thakur added that it should be remembered that these platforms are given freedom for creativity and not for abuse or obscenity.
