Set in post-World War II era Arizona, the coming-of-age drama film revolves around a young man named Sammy Fabelman from the ages of seven to eighteen, as he discovers a shattering family secret, which leads to him exploring the power of films and how it can help him see the truth. The film stars Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen and Gabriel LaBelle in the lead roles, along with Jeannie Berlin, Julia Butters, Robin Bartlett, Keely Karsten, and Judd Hirsch as the supporting cast. Directed by American film director Steven Spielberg, who is known for being the most commercially successful director of all time, the film is co-written by Spielberg and Tony Kushner.
