Renu Desai has a big action film plan!

Renu Desai today said that she will be doing a big-canvas action film as a filmmaker. The ex-wife of Pawan Kalyan has previously directed a Marathi-language rom-com.

"I want to direct two small films in Telugu. One of them will be a love story. After those two films, I will be wielding the megaphone for a proper action entertainer. I am yet to decide on who will be its hero. No, it won't be Akira Nandan," Renu said.

Renu will be seen in 'Tiger Nageswara Rao', to be released on October 20. She plays Hemalatha Lavanam, a social reformer. "I am proud of the role. Hemalatha was ahead of her times," the 'Johnny' actress said.

In her latest interview, Renu also said that 'Johnny' would surely click at the box-office if it was released today. The 2003 film was directed by Power Star. It was a big dud at the box-office, grossing just Rs 7 Cr while its budget was more than Rs 15 Cr.
