The release of the movie Rangamarthanda marked a good return for director Krishnavamsi after a long hiatus. The movie received positive reviews and the team's extensive social media promotions helped with the opening collections. Although there aren't many crowds near theaters, it is a positive sign that families are embracing emotional dramas without star power. The shows that run until Sunday night will be crucial for the film's success.

As far as box office collections go, Rangamarthanda reportedly made around 2.5 crores in business with shares up to 1.1 crore in three days. While it's not a huge amount, it's important to increase occupancy rates. Production costs for the film were over 8 crores, but OTT rights were sold for up to 6 crores and Mythri distribution took another 2 crores. So, from an investment standpoint, there is no loss, but it remains to be seen how the film performs in theaters.

It's surprising that a small film like Rangamarthanda is getting this kind of response. The three-year production, combined with budget constraints, added to the financial burden on the film. But Krishnavamsi's persistence paid off, and now attention has shifted to the upcoming release of Dussehra. By March 30th, all the main centers will be closed, so if Rangamarthanda continues to draw more viewers, it can break even and turn a profit. It's a wait-and-see situation for the next four to five days.
