The song 'Naatu Naatu' from SS Rajamouli's RRR won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, and the entire country celebrated the victory. Many stars and celebrities from all over the world rushed to social media to express their happiness and congratulate the team of RRR for making the country proud.

However, Tamil Superstar Vijay refrained from making any tweet or post to congratulate the team on their spectacular win at the Oscars. Despite skipping Telugu promotions, his team is making desperate efforts to increase his market in Telugu cinema.

There has been a refrain that Vijay had time to promote the Bollywood film Pathaan on Twitter, which he had no connection with, but he didn't have time to post one congratulatory tweet on RRR's Oscar win. The Telugu film industry would have come on social media to congratulate them on such a big success if the Tamil cinema industry had achieved a milestone like this.

It is not clear whether Thalapathy Vijay is indifferent or jealous of RRR's global success or whether he genuinely ignored it, but one thing is for sure, he seems to have distanced himself further from the Telugu audience. This is one reason why Telugu audiences are still unable to connect with him emotionally though they have always laid red carpet for many Tamil stars.
