When the sequel for a hit movie is being planned the tried and tested practice is to increase the budget, get in more bankable stars and create a larger canvas. However, if reports are to be believed, the makers of ‘Geetha Govindam’ have adopted a strange strategy.
Filmnagar sources reveal director Parasu Ram who scored big with ‘Geetha Govindam’ is now working on its sequel with producer Bunny Vas. The film was made at a very flimsy budget but then it went on to make a whopping 130 crores at the box office. Ever since the sequel talk came up, many expected the same lead pair to be in it.
Well, that may not be happening because it is heard that Bunny has decided to keep the budget to the minimum. The plan is to make ‘Geetha Govindam’ more like a franchise model and they would be roping in actors as per the story and its requirements. Let us see how the sequel will work with this new format.
