Last year, his outing ' Gangubai Kathiawadi' created a sensation, becoming a blockbuster hit. Now all eyes are on his next project, Heeramandi which is being shaped up as a web series. Being made on a massive budget, it is expected to be released during the second half of 2013. The team of the web series released the first look and Sanjay revealed other details during its launch.
This is his first global drama series which features many prominent actresses like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari and Richa Chadda etc. The poster of the film has generated a lot of curiosity and buzz already. Known for making larger than life pictures, Heeramandi is a locality teeming with prostitutes and the story is reportedly set in the pre-independence era of 1940's and it deals with the different aspects concerning the life of a prostitute house.
