Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo burst into tears this week after the Portugal team’s World Cup loss to Morocco. One more reason is that this may be the last time of him making an appearance in the tournament.

The soccer star had wept on Saturday after the final whistle in Qatar, when his team was moving away off the field, through a tunnel to their locker rooms. He was clearly upset with the Moroccan National Team knocking them out with a decent 1-0 score.

It's been a tough time and rough World Cup this time for Ronaldo which comes immediately after breaking with Manchester United. He has hinted at his retirement soon. His exit may spell the end of an era in the World Cup where Ronaldo was considered an amazing icon and football star with global fans and followers.

Europe’s Deadline For A Common Phone Charger

Europes Deadline

The European Union has reportedly given all phone manufacturers a final deadline of 28th December 2024 for adopting a common charging cable.

The EU has stated that all the new portable electronic devices should be designed according to the USB Type-C charger by December 2024. This is now a law of the EU's Official Journal, and comes with an exact date for the requirement.

Companies such as Apple, whose iPhones need an Apple-made charger, can no longer sell new devices in the EU after this deadline unless they switch to a universal cable. The new rule will include a wide range of small and medium range portable electronics like phones, tablets, headphones, and most of the handheld game consoles. Greg Joswiak, the Apple senior vice president for worldwide marketing, has promised that the tech giant will clearly comply with the new law.
