Marking the first day of the Global Investment Summit in Visakhapatnam, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy emerged triumphant, having secured 92 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 11 lakh crore in investments. The state government had received a total of 340 proposals forinvestments, amounting to Rs 13 lakh crore, at the summit. These investments are expected to generate employment opportunities for over 6 lakh individuals within the state.
 
During the inaugural session of the summit, Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed a sense of pride and satisfaction in announcing this achievement. This was achieved despite a sustained campaign by the opposition party and media, who had propagated the false narrative that industries were leaving the state due to a lack of law and order. In his address to the investors, Jagan Mohan Reddy highlighted the abundant natural and human resources available in the state, as well as the industry-friendly governance.  The success of the Global Investment Summit can be attributed to Jagan Mohan Reddy's determination and perseverance, in the face of significant opposition and challenges.
