The US President Joe Biden reportedly issued orders to the US air force to shoot down a latest unidentified "high-altitude object" off the coast of Alaska on Friday.
The unmanned object was reportedly similar to a small car in size, which according to the White House was posing a reasonable threat to civilian aviation although still the object's purpose as well as its origin remains unclear.
It has been only one week since the American military shot down a Chinese balloon over US territorial waters but this one seems to be much smaller than the earlier balloon. The new object was reportedly flying at 40,000ft (12,000m) close to the northern coast of Alaska.
