Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen wearing a light blue jacket, known as a "sadri," made of recycled material from plastic bottles to Parliament.

The jacket was presented to Modi by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) during the India Energy Week in Bengaluru, as part of the company's "Unbottled" initiative to phase out single-use plastic. The IOC has adopted uniforms made of recycled polyester and cotton for retail customer attendants and LPG delivery personnel.

BJP leaders praised Modi's latest style statement, with officials stating that each uniform will support the recycling of approximately 28 used PET bottles. Under the "Unbottled" brand, the IOC targets to meet the requirement of uniforms for customer attendants of other oil marketing companies, non-combat uniforms for the army, uniforms for institutions, and retail sales.

The prime minister's latest fashion statement was praised as a superb way to promote climate consciousness and a life lesson for all.
