This February 24th, the brutal war between Russia and Ukraine is all set to register its first anniversary and so far Russia has not been successful in achieving major objectives. Its plan was to enter the capital of Ukraine, Kiev and depose Zelensky's government.

Putin wanted to install a pro-Russian government in the country but failed miserably in this offensive. The only solace is Russia taking more parts of the Luhansk and Donetsk provinces. But still Russia has been unable to invade most of Ukraine's East due to the Western countries supplying massive arms to Ukraine.

Ukraine's President Zelensky has now announced that Russia might launch a new massive offensive to once again invade Kiev and other parts of its eastern region and speculated that this might be around February 24th when the war enters the second year. Ukraine is asking the west to expedite the supply of advanced weapons soon enough to stall any major offensive by Russians.
