Doxxing’ The Trending Term, Thanks To Musk!

The social networking entity Twitter was never in so much spotlight for controversial reasons as it is now and all credit to that goes to its new owner, Elon Musk. Starting with his stand on the Blue Tick policy to suspending accounts in bulk to firing senior employees, there’s a lot happening.

The latest addition to that is the term ‘Doxxing’ used by Musk when Twitter suspended the accounts of many journalists and he gave this to be the reason. Well, it refers to the act of disclosing personal details of someone online.

In simple words ‘Doxxing’ is a shorter version of ‘dropping documents’. It is more like a malpractice wherein a person’s private or confidential information is released online with the sole intent of harassing, shaming or exacting revenge. For now, this term seems to be the most talked about and often used one.

New Variants Causing Covid Fears Across US?

The winter is on and while everyone in the US is excited about celebrating the Christmas festival and welcoming the New Year, a hidden fear is emanating from an old demon. That demon is none other than Covid.

According to the latest data from the Centers Of Disease Control and Prevention, two omicron subvariants BQ, XBB seem to be presenting ‘serious threats’ to covid-19 vaccines and they are likely to pose challenges to treatments as well.

The estimate has revealed that BQ.1.1, BQ.1 and XBB are majorly responsible for more than 76% of corona infections which were discovered last week. With the winter wave approaching the fears are rising high as study reveals the sub variants are the most resistant SARS-CoV-2 variants till date.   

However, medical professionals believe the updated Covid-19 shots are more effective than the previous ones and they may reduce the risk by at least 50% or more. The coming months will reveal the true winner in this
